project aim
For this project, we researched an environmental disaster and identified the key chemical pollutions involved. We also studied and reflected on how toxic spills impact individuals and communities.
Key components
Board Game- The main component to this project was designing and creating a game board that is fun and educational at the same time. I was partnered up with four students in my class. We than chose what environmental disaster we wanted to base our board game of. We chose to do Josh's, which was the infamous Chernobyl Disaster. We chose that one mainly because it is very popular and had a lot of components we wanted to use for our game. Below is a picture of our final product.
Infographic- Something else we focused our attention to was making an Infographic about the chemicals realized during our environmental disaster. One member of each group had to make the infographic and I was the "Lucky" one. Here is my Infographic:
Pecha Kucha- The very first thing we made was make a pecha kucha about the environmental disaster we chose to individually research. A Pecha Kucha is a ten slide powerpoint. When we present to the class, we only have 10 seconds to explain each slide. This is so we can be broad and get right to the point. Here is my pecha kucha:
