Small Art Projects
Fine Art Mash-up
For this project, we had to choose two different painters with completely different styles of painting and figure out a way to combine them into an interesting composition, then try to reproduce the design as an acrylic painting.

Lyrical Resistance
For this project, we had to choose a line or phrase from a song that has social or political implications and create a black and white drawing that illustrates the message
Song I chose: Gimme the Power by Molotov
Lyric: Gente que vive en la pobreza, nadie hace nada porque a nadie le interesas

Picasso Reimagined
Outline: Based on the Picasso painting, "Three Women at the Spring", recreate the composition using your chosen social/political issue while trying to keep true to the original painting's dynamic
I chose to pick the topic of immigration and how it affects the U.S economy. In the image, you can see 2 ICE officers holding and questioning an immigrant that's a scientist. This depicts how most immigrants bring wealth and progressiveness to the U.S, not crime.

Derivative Character
For this project, we had to choose a favorite animated character and manipulate it so much that it reflects a global or cultural issue in it's features. We had to change the character enough that it is a derivative of the original but can exist on its own as a new original.
