The elements of art
For this mini-project what we had to do is represent the six elements of art by drawing each on one side of a cube. We also learned how to give each other good feedback that can help our work be better.
LineA line is a point traveling through space, creating a path. By drawing a lot of lines, I created piece of art.
TextureTexture is a drawing where a person viewing the piece of art can refer to the way the object feels or looks.

ShapeShape is a lot like line, except that the dots connect, creating a shape. The shape can be geometric or organic.
ColorThe light bouncing off an object. There are primary colors, yellow, blue and red, then there are secondary colors, purple, orange and green, and lastly there is tertiary colors, which mix between primary and secondary colors.

SpaceSpace is a form of art where the negative and positive areas are used to create an image.
Value or formValue is the darkness and lightness of each color.

Reflection
The process of making my art cube was pretty simple, but very helpful. We started by Chris explaining to us what each element is and him showing us pictures of examples of each element. After that, we got about 7-13 minutes to draw our first sketch of our picture.
After we were done sketching our first draft, we exchanged papers with one of our peers to get critiqued on our work. Chris gave us a good understanding of what to write to make a helpful critiques. After we were done critiquing each others first drafts, we got time to draw a second draft and repeated the feedback section.
We did this for all the elements of art, and for each element we did 3 drafts. This helped us make the best work we could and also helped us understand what good feedback looks like.
What I learned the most during this mini-project was obviously the 6 elements of art and how to use them when drawing and creating art. I believe this was the main thing we had to learn, but besides that I believe we learned some very valuable things we can use while creating something during this semester.
One of the things we learned was how to give proper feedback to help out our classmates create the best object they can. We learned when to be nice and shout out some cool things they drew and then we learned when to point out some things they can fix to make it even better.
Another thing we learned was how the revision progress while creating something helps. While drawing the sketches of each element, we revised them each at least 3 times to find how it looks the best. Revision will help us a lot this semester, so I believe it was a good thing we learned this during the first week of the semester.
